Alpaca and Llama Hike in Mödling near Vienna, Austria

Objectives

Walking time approx. 1.25 hours + 30 minutes of getting to know/petting time + 15 minutes of hiking break. Distance approx. 4 Km 

Course of events

A one-hour walk with stunning views of the woodlands and vineyards starts your two-hour excursion. Interact with the alpacas and llamas to discover fascinating information about them and to experience moments of engagement such as petting them, taking great pictures, and stopping for a fifteen-minute rest.

A thorough understanding of these interesting animals is ensured by this guided tour, which is offered in both German and English. Each hiker is matched with a personal alpaca or llama, and the opportunity to switch animals along the trek enhances the customized experience.

Activity requirements

This activity is not suitable for baby strollers or dogs.

Special terms

Family: Children aged 9 and over are allowed to lead an animal alone, between the ages of 5 and 8 with an adult between the animal and the child. Children under 5 years of age must be carried in a front/back carrier. Unfortunately, hiking alongside or at a greater distance is not possible.

Note that on-site toilet facilities are not available; however, a restaurant is conveniently located just 3 minutes away.

Important: Please wear shoes with good tread. No tennis shoes. I recommend you bring extra shoes if you are coming by car and if it has been wet in the last few days, as we may be walking through damp/wet areas. Please be fit. There are small inclines on the hike.
